Accounts Receivable Specialist – Remote

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and processing all AR functions for Production Solutions. This involves handling confidential information and requires discretion. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will use your demonstrated ability to maneuver and prioritize multiple tasks and demands using expert judgment, knowing when to seek assistance. Using your sound accounting knowledge and technology skills, you will be responsible for the final review and processing of client invoices and mailings and work with the Billing team to resolve any discrepancies. Working independently and with a team of colleagues, you will be afforded the tools and resources necessary to succeed.

Requirements

Your impact:

• Maintain and update client SOP instructions in ProSIS.
• Prepare and update postage summaries with cash receipts and disbursements
• Identify incoming electronic payments for postage and record postage deposits into ProSIS
• Identify incoming payment for clients’ accounts receivable balances
• Record in Sage Intacct cash receipts for check and electronic deposits for postage or invoice payments
• Process bank transfers for client deposits and record these transfers in the General Ledger
• Provide weekly cash reconciliations for all main operating and postage bank accounts
• Maintain clients’ sales tax certificates in Prosis and OneSource applications
• Send client notifications via email for upcoming expiring sales tax certificates
• Record daily GL batches in Sage Intacct through Prosis uploads
• Prepare monthly client escrow statements
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations as assigned
• Communicate weekly with clients on past due account balances per collections SOP
• Prepare weekly A/R Aging Reports with Collections updates to Accounting Supervisor
• Identify expected payments daily to update cash projections
• Communicate effectively with clients and employees to resolve payment processing issues
• Assist the accounting team with monthly closing reports.

Your Profile:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in accounting or business management; minimum 3 years prior accounting/finance experience in a business setting with exposure to financial and confidential duties; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Intermediate to advanced-level computer skills including Windows-based applications (MS Office Suite) and supplemental machinery including printers, scanners, fax machines, and copiers
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work in a team environment and foster positive and collaborative work habits
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently with the ability to manage multiple tasks
