Over many years, the research and content around the humanness of work has become prolific.
Examples are “be in balance with work and life”, “humans are the point, not a resource”, or “making work human” – which are all wonderful north stars that any company could look to for enhancing their culture and employee experience.
Earlier this year, PS refreshed our core values and created three new principles for how we will succeed. One of our refreshed core values is: Authentically Care About Others. One of our success principles is: To steward an authentic culture where every relationship is respected and engaged for mutual success.
Hopefully, you can see that we are actively pursuing success as a business, by intentionally cultivating our environment to attract, retain, and bring the best out of humans.
Even better, I hope that if you are a client or partner of ours, you experience our humans to be caring, thoughtful, patient, fun, and prideful in all they do. Our humans are the point, and they’re evolving faster than they ever have. Which means they have new desires, aspirations, needs, challenges, and knowledge.
So, while you might be frantically prioritizing emerging technologies, the A.I. frenzy, or evolving regulations or standards, make sure to put your human experience at the forefront. Because people still buy from people and want to work with people who are kind, who are supported, and who are led with honesty, fairness, and transparency.
After all, we’re ultimately products of our environment – and if you want your products to improve, start by enhancing their environments first.
