The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) has responded to the Postal Service’s revised rate proposal that was filed on March 12th. The PRC once again found that the Postal Service did not comply to the rules and requirements set forth for when CPI increases are to be filed. The rates in question effect Periodicals, Standard Mail and Packages. The Postal Service has until March 25th to submit new rates and address several questions posed by the PRC.
At this point, a rate adjustment for Periodicals, Standard Mail and Packages will not go into effect on April 26th. A new date will be determined once final rates are approved and to be no sooner than 45-days after PRC final approval.
