I recently found an article on the importance of actively building your company’s culture.
This served as an important reminder about how vital a company’s culture is concerning the performance of the business. A healthy culture is one of the most important drivers of high performance. My colleague Leigh Janis, Vice President of Sales & Client Experience, authored last month’s Insider and discussed this idea. She said, “…putting in the work to get the fundamentals correct is critical for individual and team success.” We cannot have high performance without a healthy culture.
There is no doubt that rapid change is occurring throughout our business and industry, while the expectation of delivering excellence in all we do stays the same. Leigh also discussed the Client Listening Tour feedback we collected in recent months, sharing, “Competing priorities are the norm and our clients and partners are juggling complexity like no other time.” To effectively provide professional services to solve our clients’ problems and add value to their business in high-performing ways, PS must continue to enrich our culture.
As the industry evolves and becomes more complex, we must build new and improved plans and commitments into our culture to keep us focused with a people-first mindset. Our clients’ problems and challenges require higher levels of performance guided by care, creativity, and collaboration. This all starts with culture.
As President of PS and the ultimate leader of our culture, I know how we guide our culture directly impacts how our staff delivers what our clients need most. You ship your culture daily, and a high-touch service experience starts with doing the same internally.
